SUMMARY:Lightbulb Leadership: Turning Insights into Action
DESCRIPTION:Lightbulb Leadership: Turning Insights into Action\n\nPresented By: Heather Dean\, Creative Across the Curriculum\n\n \n\nLightbulb Leadership Improving interactions with clients\, customers\, and teams to build understanding To get the Lightbulbs to Turn on!\n\n\n\nThere is a cost to pressing onward when people are confused or disengaged. \n\nThere is a cost to professional boredom\, the mundane\, and being stuck in an intellectual rut. \n\nThere is a cost to dismissing outlier ideas that could have unique potential. \n\n \n\nWhen people experience meaningful interactions\, it lights a spark. It builds professional commitment and investment. It motivates and inspires and productive actions follow. Leaders can build awareness of the types of interactions\, acknowledge the benefits and drawbacks in each type\, and attend to the client\, customer\, or teammate to increase understanding and engagement. \n\n \n\nWe will explore three different Lightbulb Leadership Lenses to build awareness\, acknowledgment\, and attendance skills to increase the sparks\, the flashes\, and the opportunities to get more Lightbulbs to Turn On!\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\nHeather has been designing learning experiences for over 25 years. She supports professionals in a wide variety of fields to design engaging meaningful experiences for their clients\, customers\, students\, or teams. The end goal is to build engagement and understanding\, to get the Lightbulbs to Turn On! Whether they wish to reform complex problems\, broaden perspectives\, build a more meaningful life\, lift communities\, or achieve economic and academic success\, she is here to help. No matter the audience\, the setting\, or the topic from formal classrooms to staff meetings to social change initiatives interactions can be improved for better outcomes.
