Please consider donating an item, gift card, gift certificate or service to our Dane Buy Local Online Holiday Auction. Our auction will be running from December 4 – December 11.
We host auctions twice a year for 3 valuable reasons:
1. Fundraiser for Dane Buy Local. Dane Buy Local is a nonprofit organization that works to support local businesses. We do this with a staff of 3 and committed volunteers from the community. To keep our operation costs down while offering as much support as our businesses need, we have fundraisers throughout the year to supplement the membership fees our business members pay. Those membership fees are rarely increased, and we never want money to be another barrier to a business’ success.2. Visibility for local businesses! Our online auctions are beloved and highly anticipated events. By submitting an item, you are investing in great advertising and visibility. Our auction site for our May 2023 auction saw:
21,892 page views.
3. Community support and education. We are always on the mission to educate the community on the value of shopping local and to raise awareness of what and who is out there to serve their wants and needs. This auction gives our community an extensively curated view of many industries and resources available to them locally. This time of year, they can get some great holiday shopping done as well.
