We are looking for a dependable part-time handy worker (10-20 hours/week) who can complete various light carpentry and maintenance tasks for our Home Staging and Design business clients and our retail store and warehouse. This person will work in vacant and occupied homes in addition to our commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Update and repair drywall and paint as needed
- Do light trim carpentry such as replace missing or damaged trim
- Do regular light maintenance at The Cozy Home and their warehouse (take out trash, do repairs, have vehicles maintained, salt the sidewalk, etc.)
- Rewire lamps and hang light fixtures temporarily for selling
- Discuss jobs with homeowners and/or realtors
- Select and purchase materials for job
Skills
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate the greater Madison area
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to estimate small repair jobs
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part Time; hours to be determined
Pay: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience
