Inspiring Hope. FUNDING RESEARCH.
PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH is an all-important cornerstone of Czar's Promise, and UW Health Kids - American Family Children's Hospital was the idyllic backdrop to present it's annual grant funding for 2022.
Children and canines are diagnosed with the same types of cancer, and through Translational, or Comparative Oncology research, the goal is to discover better methods of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment that will ultimately improve the quality of life for current and future canines AND children.
On Thursday, January 7, 2023, Czar's Promise gifted $25,000.00 to the UW Kids Cancer Fund for the Therapeutic Immunotherapy Study, which truly exemplifies Translational Oncology Research. Lead by Principal Investigator, Dr. Christian Capitini, and Graduate Assistant, Monica Cho, this Phase I pilot trial in dogs will blaze the path to launch this trial in humans.
Czar's Promise growing partnership with UW Kids Health and it's pediatric cancer research initiatives aligns with the Czar's Promise mission, and the organization is incredibly grateful for the advancements which UW Kids Health/American Family Children's Hospital continue to make. Not just locally, but their research has a national, as well as global impact to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.
This grant through Czar's Promise is made entirely possible by the unmatched support of compassionate individuals, families, and business partners throughout our community, for which they are incredibly grateful.
