The Madison, Wisconsin office of Leonard Auction has secured a one-of-a-kind jewelry collection that will be offered at the company’s upcoming January 22nd auction in Chicago. It features many custom pieces by University of Wisconsin alum and renowned jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay, whose work is favored by celebrities such as Carly Simon, Naomi Campbell, Joan Lunden, and Paula Zahn.
A hallmark of Crevoshay’s creations is rare stones handset in 18k gold. Known as the “queen of color” she has a particular penchant for tourmaline, opals, moonstones, smithsonite and chrysocolla. Her distinctive designs can be seen in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and the Gemological Institute of America.
