A Dementia Friendly Community is a grassroots, community centered group of people that aim to increase awareness of the challenges that those with dementia face. This is done by educating businesses and organization so those with dementia feel more accepted and engaged in community life.
Businesses and organizations can train to become Dementia Friendly and have access to resources and information about dementia and how it may affect their customers, clients, or participants
