Lightbulb Leadership: Turning Insights into Action
Presented By: Heather Dean, Creative Across the Curriculum
There is a cost to pressing onward when people are confused or disengaged.
There is a cost to professional boredom, the mundane, and being stuck in an intellectual rut.
There is a cost to dismissing outlier ideas that could have unique potential.
When people experience meaningful interactions, it lights a spark. It builds professional commitment and investment. It motivates and inspires and productive actions follow. Leaders can build awareness of the types of interactions, acknowledge the benefits and drawbacks in each type, and attend to the client, customer, or teammate to increase understanding and engagement.
We will explore three different Lightbulb Leadership Lenses to build awareness, acknowledgment, and attendance skills to increase the sparks, the flashes, and the opportunities to get more Lightbulbs to Turn On!
