Visitor Service Associate

Position Summary:
The Visitor Service Associate is a frontline ambassador, demonstrating excellent customer service in a multi-functional role. As the first point of contact for all guests, Visitor Service Associates set the tone of every visit by welcoming each guest, orienting them for their visit, and assisting them with transactions.

Essential Functions:

  • Process Point of Sale purchases, including ticket sales, and returns per cash handling policies;
  • Keep current on the tour schedule, programming, cafe, events, and conditions to orient guests for their visit;
  • Direct guests to supporting materials that will assist them in enjoying both Taliesin and the Spring Green area;
  • Assess guest needs and provide assistance and product information;
  • Be knowledgeable about Gift Shop products;
  • Support achievement of department sales goals;
  • Maintain stock and keep the Gift Shop clean and organized;
  • Facilitate communications between the visitor center, shuttle drivers, stewards, and tour guides to support a positive guest experience;
  • Understand the mission of Taliesin Preservation and share the story of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin property;
  • Respond to guest communications via phone and email;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Computer proficiency at a basic level;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Attention to detail; and
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and seasonality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous cash handling and Point of Sale experience;
  • Working knowledge of the life and work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Taliesin, and the mission of Taliesin Preservation.
